Join us in St. Giles’ Church and grounds on Castle Street in central Cambridge on the afternoon of Saturday 13th May to celebrate Europe Day 2023.

The fête will be a relaxed, family-friendly event, starting at 1 PM and finishing at 4 PM.
Activities will include:

  • Food and drink stalls
  • Plant and book sales
  • A raffle and tombola
  • Activities for children
  • Music by Mulberry Klezmer, Dragan Cvejic, Jeremy Harmer & Les Ray

All proceeds will be donated to local voluntary organisation Cambridge4Ukraine, who are providing support to people in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees here in the Cambridge area.

Entrance is free, and you don’t need to book a ticket.

We invite you to bring along food & drink (savoury and sweet foods from around Europe are especially welcome!) or plants for our stalls, or to donate a prize for our raffle. If you can do this please email us at info@cambridgeforeurope.org.uk to help with our planning.

What is Europe Day?

Europe Day is held annually on 9th May, and marks the anniversary of the presentation of the Schuman Declaration, an event which led to today’s European Union.

Europe Day celebrates shared values of freedom, democracy, human rights, equality, human dignity and the rule of law, the very values that the people of Ukraine are now fighting to defend against the Russian invasion.
