Cambridge Stays have booked a coach from Cambridge to central London on Saturday 23 June 2018 for the March for a People’s Vote, where on the 2nd anniversary of the EU referendum we will march from Park Lane to Parliament Square to demand a vote on the final Brexit deal.
Early bird tickets cost £19, and are on sale at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/coach-from-cambridge-to-march-for-a-peoples-vote-tickets-45859402708
Traveling to the march by coach will make it easier to transport bulky items such as banners, flag polls and placards and give campaigners an opportunity to meet and chat on the way down and back. The coach we’ve hired is also wheelchair accessible, with space for three wheelchairs (please let us know if you are a wheelchair user when booking).
Departure points:
Queens Road (A1134) Coach Bays next to Queen’s College, CB3 9ET – Departing 9:00 am (tbc – we are waiting for the coach firm to confirm this pick-up time).
Trumpington Park & Ride, Hauxton road, Cambridge CB2 9FT – Departing 9.15 am (tbc – we are waiting for the coach firm to confirm this pick-up time).
The coach will drop us in the Park lane area before the march starts, though the exact location will depend on the trafic management on the day (it’s expected that it will be a very big march, so traffic will be affected).
After the march the bus will pick us up at 5:00 pm at a location that will be arranged on the day, and return to Cambridge for approximately 7:00 pm.
Bring your flags and banners, your blue and yellow badges, hats and T-shirts, and join hundreds of thousands as we show our political leaders that we need a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal, and that the vote must include the option to stay a member of the EU!
Remember to bring layers of clothes, drinks and snacks, and to wear comfortable footwear, as we are likely to be on our feet for several hours.
