BBC General Election Leaders’ debate – Lets Stay in the EU!

On 31 May 2017 Cambridge Stays held an impromptu rally outside the Senate House in Cambridge, where the final Leaders’ Debate of the 2017 General election was taking place.

Our chants ranged from “No more lies, no more fear, European Union wanted here!” to “Theresa May…weak and wobbly”, and it was good to hear some being picked up by other members of the crowds outside the debate venue.

Despite being organised at the last minute our rally was covered by the Cambridge Independent and Cambridge News, and in an article in the Italian Newspaper La Republicca, and we also appeared in the backdrop of reports on the BBC and Channel 4 news.
